CS Fundamentals Deep Dive Workshop (Part 1-4 for each session throughout the day)This session is part of a full-day session offered by Code.org.
Participants need to be present for all sessions throughout the day running from 8:30-3:00. Code.org is offering a new full-day workshop, CS Fundamentals Deep Dive, designed for K-5 teachers who have experience teaching CS Fundamentals and are looking to dive deeper or get more support.
Workshop Goals:
- Teachers will understand the details, philosophy, values, and rationale behind how CS Fundamentals is structured
- Teachers will understand the intended approach to teaching CS Fundamentals, including specific classroom practices
- Teachers will be equipped to bring more computer science to their students
What teachers will leave with:
- Strategies for addressing roadblocks to implementation
- Ideas for fostering a strong classroom rapport that nurtures all kinds of learners
- A deepened sense of community with other CS Fundamentals teachers
